Privacy Policy

Draft for review · Last updated: 29 October 2026

This draft describes the handling of personal information in connection with ASTROMNEME.com and Ana Vaz’s work. Retention periods and the points identified below require confirmation before publication.

Who is responsible for your information

ASTROMNEME is the practice of Ana Vaz, responsible for deciding why and how personal information is used. For privacy requests, contact ola@astromneme.pt. The contact form sends messages to hello@astromneme.com.

To confirm: the controller’s full legal name and the appropriate business contact details for this policy.

Contact messages

The contact form collects your name, email address and message so Ana can respond to your enquiry. Messages are sent through Lovable’s managed email service to the designated inbox. No separate contact-message archive is created by this website. Copies may remain in the inbox and the email service’s delivery records.

The intended legal basis is legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or steps at your request before entering into a contract when your message concerns booking a service. Limited, temporary checks help prevent spam and duplicate submissions.

Readings, bookings and payments

When you book a reading, the information requested includes your name, email address, optional telephone number, date, time and place of birth, the selected reading and appointment, and anything you choose to share about your intention. Booking availability, creation and payment are handled by the associated ASTROMNEME.pt booking system. Payment is processed through Stripe; the Gift a Reading page also links to Stripe for payment.

This information is used to arrange the appointment, communicate with you, prepare your chart and provide the reading. The intended legal basis is performance of the service contract, including steps taken before the booking. Any accounting records required by applicable law are handled under legal obligations.

Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or other people. If information about health or another special category of personal data is needed, the appropriate safeguards and legal basis must be established before it is processed.

Online readings and recordings

Online astrology readings take place using Zoom and are recorded. Ana shares the recording privately with the individual client through Google Drive. Recordings may contain your voice, image and personal information discussed during the session.

To confirm before publication: how you are informed about recording, how consent or another appropriate legal basis is obtained, whether you may decline recording, who can access the files, how private access is controlled, and when Zoom copies and Google Drive files are deleted.

Newsletter subscriptions

Ana uses Brevo to manage subscriptions to Carta Ancestral. This website also contains links to astromneme.substack.com. Following a newsletter link takes you to that external platform, where its own privacy information applies. No Brevo subscription form has been added to this website.

Newsletter sending should be based on your consent, which you may withdraw using the newsletter’s unsubscribe mechanism. Contacting Ana or booking a reading does not, by itself, subscribe you to a newsletter.

To confirm: which subscription information Brevo stores, the relationship between Carta Ancestral and Substack, and how consent and unsubscribed contacts are retained.

Service providers

The services involved in the website or the confirmed associated workflows include Lovable for the website and managed contact emails, Stripe for payment, Zoom for online readings and recording, Google Drive for private recording sharing, and Brevo for Carta Ancestral subscriptions. Substack is linked externally. The website loads Cormorant Garamond and Karla from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s font servers and sends technical request information, including your IP address.

Your personal information is used only for the purposes described in this policy. It is never sold or used for third-party advertising.

How long information is kept

Formal retention periods have not yet been adopted. They must be established separately for contact messages and inbox copies, client records and birth-chart information, accounting records, Zoom recordings, Google Drive recordings and access links, newsletter subscription and consent records, and service delivery records.

The GDPR requires information to be kept no longer than necessary for its purpose, taking account of applicable legal obligations. No numerical retention period is asserted in this draft.

International transfers and security

The providers listed above may process information in countries outside the European Economic Area, depending on their service configuration. The actual locations, contractual arrangements and applicable transfer safeguards need to be verified. This draft does not assert that a particular transfer mechanism is in place.

Access to client recordings is intended to be private. The specific sharing settings, access controls and deletion practices must be confirmed as part of the final policy.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You may exercise your rights by writing to ola@astromneme.pt. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD), or the competent supervisory authority where you live or work.
